Emmanuel Macron’s request to accompany Leo XIV for a few minutes inside Notre-Dame Cathedral was not accepted by the Holy See, La Croix reports. This reflects a wider disagreement over the papal visit. Several requests from the Élysée were refused: the military welcome will be reduced, avoiding the Republican Guard and its drums; the Holy See declined the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour; and there will be no state lunch or dinner with Macron.

THAT which I have thus described as going on within the souls who are actually in purgatory, I have experienced in my own soul, especially during the last two years ; and each day I see and feel it more clearly. I perceive my soul in the midst of my body as in a purgatory, conformed and like to the true purgatory, in measure, however, that the body may be able to endure it and not die ; yet the pain goes on increasing gradually until death. I see the soul estranged to all things, even spiritual, which can give it nourishment as joy, delight, consolation ; and it has no …More

Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller said he spent an entire day on the film set of Mel Gibson’s “The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One,” discussing the theology of the Resurrection with the Catholic filmmaker.
I hope Cardinal Mueller learned something, because his teaching on the Resurrection (a camera couldn't have filmed the event) is terrible and really amounts to a denial,

A Catholic chaplaincy in the Diocese of St Gallen, Switzerland, is organising a 'drag' event. The performance, which will feature transvestites, will take place on Friday at the Grabenhalle venue in St. Gallen. According to the organisers, it will address "social, spiritual and cultural issues". Audience members will be invited to donate to a homosexual organisation.
The formation of the Lavender Mafia: Describing the formation of homosexual cliques of clergy Fr. Oko says: They know well, however, that they may be exposed and embarrassed, so they shield one another by offering mutual support. They build informal relationships reminding of a clique or even mafia, aim at holding particularly those positions which offer power and money. When they achieve a decision-making position, they try to promote and advance mostly those whose nature is similar to theirs, or at least who are known to be too weak to oppose them. Fr. Oko said, "Just like in the military, in the police, in the art world, once a person with homosexual tendencies gets into power, usually their subordinates are also homosexuals, therefore they start creating a pyramid, and the same thing is happening in the Church with these bishops who knowingly nominate people with the same tendencies."
Monday, September 15th, 1913: Are Burns Men Here, The Atlanta Constitution PAGE 10, COLUMN 4 Report Says They Are Working on Frank Case. That detectives in the employ of the Burns Agency are in Atlanta working up new evidence to be used in the hearing on a new trial for Leo M. Frank, which is set for Oct. 4, 1913, is the rumor which spread through the city Sunday and set tongues freshly wagging on the famous case. The rumor further has it that Solicitor Dorsey had in his possession a bit of valuable evidence given him while he was arguing the case before the jury and too late to be introduced into the proceedings. The local Burns men would neither affirm nor deny the report regarding their agents, and Mr. Dorsey could not be reached last night to make any statement regarding the rumored new evidence, which it is said was submitted to him by a girl formerly employed in the pencil factory. 15.09.2026 IT IS BECAUSE EVERYONE MAINTAINS ‘THE SECRET ‘ THAT DON LEONARDO POMPEI, THE SSPX AND ARCHBISHOP VIGANO CAN BE EXCOMMUNICATED It is because Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre interpreted Vatican Council II irrationally and not rationally, that Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez and Pope Leo and the cardinals and bishops, could excommunicate Don Leonardo Pompei , the SSPX bishops, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano and so many others. The Vatican can excommunicate the traditionalists because they, the traditionalists, interpret the Vatican Council II, the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the baptism of desire and the Creeds and Catechisms irrationally, like the liberals. If they choose to interpret Church Documents rationally, the progressivists cannot excommunicate them. For then, Vatican Council II etc would be traditional, dogmatic and ecclesiocentric. This has to be understood. It is important. It has to be made known to people in general that the pope, cardinals and bishops, must stop …More
The FSSPX makes its annual pilgrimage to Einsiedeln, but its procession remains on public ground. The Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) makes an annual Rosary pilgrimage to the famous Swiss monastery of Einsiedeln. This year’s pilgrimage takes place on October 10, but the public prayer procession is held only on public ground. Organised by the FSSPX-associated Militia Immaculatae, the procession has been held annually since 2021. Around 750 people participated in 2025. The distinction over where it takes place is significant. The lower part of the square in front of Einsiedeln Abbey, including the Marian fountain and the area up to the monastery arcades, belongs to the District of Einsiedeln and is public property. The upper part belongs to the monastery. The district has authorised the procession on its property. Fr. Philipp Steiner told kath.ch that the abbey had not been asked for permission and had only recently been informed of this year’s event. He stressed that “Einsiedeln …More

‘Diversity of the Pains — Blasio Raised from the Dead…’ – ‘Purgatory’ by Rev. The life of Venerable Mother Frances of the Blessed Sacrament, a Religious of Pampeluna,1 presents several facts which show that the pains of Purgatory are suited to the faults to be expiated. This venerable servant of God had the most intimate communication with the souls in Purgatory, so that they came in great numbers and filled her cell, humbly awaiting each one in turn to be assisted by her prayers. Frequently, the more easily to excite her compassion, they appeared with the instruments of their sins, now become the instruments of their torture. One day she saw a Religious surrounded by costly pieces of furniture, such as pictures, arm-chairs, &c, all in flames. She had collected these things …More
"A notary appeared to. her one day with all the insignia of his profession. Being heaped around him, the flames which issued therefrom caused him the most intense suffering. " I have used this pen, this ink, this paper," said he, "to draw up illegal deeds. I also had a passion for gambling, and these cards which I am forced to hold continually in my hands now constitute my punishment. This flaming purse contains my unlawful gains, and causes me to expiate them."

A child just under two years old was euthanized in the Netherlands because of disabilities. Born prematurely at 26 weeks, the child had severe brain damage, cerebral palsy, visual impairment, and difficult-to-treat seizures. At the parents’ request, a doctor killed the toddler at the end of 2025. Dutch authorities ruled on September 9 that the required criteria had been met.

Monday, 15th September 1913: Frank Trial Not Fair Declares Preacher, The Atlanta Constitution Public Mind Too Inflamed forImpartial Hearing of Case,Says Dr. Holderby. Leo M. Frank did not receive a fair trial for the murder of Mary Phagan on account of the inflamed condition of the public mind, according to Rev. A. R. Holderby, past of the Moore Memorial church. The declaration was made during a discussion of the topic. A Square Deal for Every Man, which was the subject of Dr. Holderbys discourse Sunday morning. I wish to speak a word of caution to you today as regards your attitude towards one of our citizens who had been convicted of an atrocious crime, he said. It is not for me or for you to affirm that he is innocent or guilty. The jury has rendered its verdict. The question that concerns the church did this man have a fair and impartial trial? If the trial was conducted without vindictiveness and prejudice and the testimony was sufficient to convict then the verdict is just. But if …More
“Conservative” Auxiliary Bishop Josef Graf of Regensburg, Germany, can envision ordaining married men to the priesthood. Monsignor Graf made this remarks during a holiday in San Genesio, South Tyrol, where he also helped with the grape harvest in a local vineyard. He told Bz-bx.net: “I personally believe that the Church could afford viri probati”. He added that married priests would probably not solve the shortage of priests. On the ordination of women to the priesthood, Monsignor Graf said he believes it is “not possible.” He pointed there are “still” weighty theological reasons for reserving Holy Orders to men. #newsAdwjzpyvzr
Oddly enough, I can 'envision' waking up and discovering a Church which nurtures vocations by holding to the Faith rather than deviating from it to suit the needs of prelates who should never have been ordained in the first place.
Mature married men have worked out as well in the parishes founded by Anglicans who converted to Catholicism and, of course, historically in the Eastern Churches, so I don't see what people are worrying about. As long as they don't offer ordination to married men under the age of, say, 45 or 50, I think they'd make an excellent and much needed source of new priests.

September 15 Our Lady of Sorrows. mantheycalltom The Church twice commemorates the sorrows of its heavenly Mother. The Friday of Passion week, since the 15th century, has also been dedicated by the universal Church to Her Compassion. Why is this so? To understand this double liturgy, we must know that Mary is also the Mother of the Mystical Body. The present feast was instituted by Pius VII after his return from his captivity and exile, which lasted from 1809 to 1814. Christ no longer suffers, and for Our Lady also, all suffering as we understand it has ceased. Nonetheless, the prophet Jeremias in his Lamentations, asks: To whom shall You be compared, O Virgin? Your affliction is like the ocean. A mother who is happy in her home weeps just the same over the sorrows of her children. The statues and pictures of Mary all over Europe wept before the Revolution in France, and Her statues weep again today, in many places. The Passion of Christ continues in His elect, in particular in His …More
