'Professor William Thomas claims that Pope Leo XIV is continuing the agenda established under Pope Francis despite mounting backlash from clergy and faithful Catholics. Pointing to a newly released Vatican implementation document outlining the Synod’s roadmap through 2028, Thomas argues that those in charge of the Synod office are promoting a pro-LGBT, modernist agenda that undermines Catholic doctrine, sacred tradition, and the Church’s mission to teach and evangelize.'
1 Peter 2:2-12 “You are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises” of him who called you.” We are all called to proclaim that God loves us. Mark 10:46b-52 A blind man cried out, “Jesus, son of David, have pity on me.” And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. This is often the case, instead of listening and leading the person to the love of God. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.

By Phil Lawler ( bio - articles - email ) | May 26, 2026 Although I generally admired Pope Leo’s first encyclical, I was dismayed to read, in paragraph 192: Today, more than ever, without prejudice to the right to self-defense in the strictest sense, it is important to reaffirm that the “just war” theory, which has all too often been used to justify any kind of war, is now outdated. Pope Leo is not the first Pontiff to say that just-war theory is outdated. Pope Francis said the same thing. Even Pope Pius XII, who cannot be classified as a pacifist, said in his Christmas message of 1948: “The theory of war as an apt and proportionate means of solving international conflicts is now out of date.” But Pius XII, speaking in the aftermath of World War II, did not jettison just-war theory—even with the advent of The Bomb threatening new levels of mass destruction. No one short of Dr. Strangelove would think that nuclear war is “an apt and proportionate means” of resolving conflicts. A …
Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller spoke to kath.net on May 26 about the episcopal consecrations on July 1 by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X. Main quotes.. No sympathy for the FSSPX “They understand themselves as an emergency community that will remain at a distance until the millions of Catholics who have fallen into Modernism, thousands of bishops and priests, and the current Pope return to the Church which the Society of St. Pius X preserves as the holy remnant of the one true Catholic Church.” Can the Entire Church Have Fallen Into Error? “From a purely human and theological perspective, it cannot be the case that the two thousand bishops and all the popes who have gathered at the Council have been mistaken on dogmatic issues or have deviated from the apostolic tradition, with the exception of a single bishop who, through illegal episcopal ordinations alone, ensures the Church’s continued existence” No one has a right to become a bishop “Nobody has a claim to episcopal …More

Today, Leo XIV appointed Bishop Simon Jong-Gang Kim, 61, as Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Daegu, South Korea. The image of him disguised in a white T-shirt is from World Youth Day in Lisbon 2023, where Bishop Kim gave official catechesis as the bishops' Youth Pastoral Commission president. He comes from a Catholic family whose roots in the faith go back to his great-grandfather’s generation. Ordained a priest in 1996, he served in parish ministry, seminary formation, youth ministry, and Church administration, including as bursar of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea. Francis appointed him Bishop of Cheongju in 2022. Francis-Era Priorities His catechesis and sermons strongly reflect Francis-era pastoral language such as accompaniment, closeness, and ‘walking together’ According to CatholicTimes.org (May 26) the profile of his four years as Cheongju bishop emphasised: - immigrant welcome, - ecological conversion and - Word Youth Day in Seoul 2027. by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira – Folha de S. Paulo, January 18, 1980 – Inconsistency is the conflict between truth and error within the same mindset or text. Or, even worse, it’s the conflict among multiple errors. I start with this useful and healthy truth, as it is always good to call out incoherence wherever it appears. For example, in the democratic experiment Brazil is carrying out. Such an experiment will only be genuine if the democracy tested is itself genuine. That said, the media carry significant responsibilities in this era of partisan shifts. Their role is even greater than that of politicians. The influence politicians have on public opinion largely depends on how much notoriety the media choose to give them. If politicians want to preserve their prestige, they must consistently say what the Fourth Estate — meaning newspapers, TV, and radio — want them to say. In summary, the Fourth Estate has a policy that guides politicians’ actions. I am pleased to acknowledge the …More
Cognitive dissonance/the conflict between truth and error within the same mindset always makes me think: The Pope is infallible in matters of Faith and Morals. The Church is indefectible. The Popes have erred repeatedly and changed everything about the Traditional Church. How do people hold these two facts in their brain at the same time?
On Monday, Raymond Arroyo, Rev Gerald Murray and Robert Royal spoke about Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, on artificial intelligence. Best quotes. On the encyclical's lack of Catholic identity "There's no sense in this entire document of what the main mission of the Church is... How is that a Church document?" — Robert Royal "Sin essentially doesn't exist in the universe of Magnifica Humanitas." — Robert Royal, "The Church is here to accompany humanity — that's a very weak description. We're not simply a walking companion and conversation buddy." — Rev Murray On international regulation “If we need effective on national and international levels regulation of AI, in theory, yes, but what kind of regulations and who's putting them in?” – Rev. Murray. “Are these going to be voted by the people or is this going to be imposed by technical committees?” – Rev Murray. On the continuity between Leo XIV and Francis The whole document makes constant reference to Pope …More

"We see a new generation of Catholics in Europe developing platforms and podcasts that are sometimes free and independent but linked to the Church's teachings," retired Bishop Dominique Rey, 73, of Fréjus-Toulon (2000–2025), France, told AdVaticanum.com on 23 May. He added: "It is very important to encourage these initiatives." Young People Look for Roman Rite Regarding the episcopal consecration of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, Bishop Rey was somewhat vague: "Doctrinal communion is very important. My position is to be clear with the Society about what is necessary, but also to remain in dialogue with them — not on matters of faith, but because the Church must be open to their opinions, their expressions of fraternity, and their projects." He added: "The Church must be willing to integrate traditionalists into its structures." Bishop Rey believes that a new generation of young people are looking for a sense of sacredness, spirituality and silence in the traditional liturgy …More
In reality the Church is orthodox remnant. No one is integrated or disintegrated, that's political and secular mumbo jumbo, there are only faithful and heretics.
