The consistory of cardinals expected in June is supposed to reflect on the historical details of the liturgical reform. This is what the Swiss auxiliary bishop Marian Eleganti writes on his blog (June 26). Bishop Eleganti reiterates the historical facts. 1965: A revised Ordo Missae was published — a transitional version of the old Mass following the first impulses of Vatican II. 1967: An experimental draft (Missa normativa) was presented but not approved. The first Synod of Bishops after the Council was divided over this rite. About 71 bishops voted in favor (placet), 43 voted against (non placet), and 62 regarded it only as a basis for discussion. Despite this divided response, work on the new missal continued. 1969: The new missal (Missale Romanum) was promulgated, today known as the Novus Ordo Missae. It implemented changes that had been rejected by a majority of the bishops at the 1967 Synod. The change in the direction of celebration and the introduction of the people’s altar were …વધારે
From what I have read, much voting was done outside hours when most of the bishops were away. Also lying took place (Pope Paul approves this) and (the bishops are all for it). Because it was rammed through illegally, the changes can be said to be illegitimate.
I do not think you'll regret reading this if you get to the end, you may learn something else or maybe not, maybe it will be for some a reminder of the times we live in and what we are called to do as Catholics. I recently spoke to one of my nephews who is in his early twenties, and a 10 year old niece, and I started out by telling them that this world is like a jungle, like the wilderness that is unexplored and that it holds dangerous animals, poisonous plants, and insects, etc. My nephew just married recently and he has a Master's degree. I'm white, I'm 100 percent American from many, many generations. I never knew what the color and "value" of a skin was until I had to blend in into a U.S. world that is full of so much animosity towards each other. I grew up in a home where my parents never, ever spoke racist against people of other color, nation or in short ethnicity. I grew up with catholic values of caring, helping, and respecting others, as well as of forgiving those who do bad …વધારે

Klaus Schwab, ideologue of the Davos Forum, holds that, in the face of the rapid evolution of AI, we must redefine what it means to be HUMAN: "If being human no longer means being 'intelligent'... then we will have to define HUMANITY in other ways."
The Nicaraguan government under the communist dictators Daniel Ortega and his wife, Rosario Murillo, has prohibited Catholic priests from conducting house-to-house missionary visits in the dioceses of León and Chinandega. State police have confined these pastoral activities to churches and prohibited them from taking place in neighborhoods. This restriction fits into a broader pattern of repression against the Catholic Church’s public activities, including bans on public religious processions and pilgrimages, prior arrests, expulsions, restrictions on clergy, and interference with church practices that involve public gatherings. In the opposition media, the president's wife, Rosario Murillo, is referred to as “the witch” because of her esoteric imagery, symbols, and rituals influenced by the New Age movement. Mexican priest Héctor Ramírez has publicly called her “the second most important witch in the world,” without saying who he considers to be the most important. #newsCjaioiibtu
The legendary American author who owned 19 cats with names like Beelzebub and Pestilence—and once placed a newspaper ad to find his missing feline friend. Mark Twain—born Samuel Clemens—gave the world The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and some of the sharpest wit American literature has ever known. But ask anyone who knew him personally, and they'd tell you: the man was absolutely obsessed with cats. "I simply can't resist a cat, particularly a purring one," Twain confessed. And he meant it. While other literary giants collected books, art, or accolades, Mark Twain collected cats. Lots of them. At various points in his life, Twain shared his home with as many as 19 cats. But these weren't just "Fluffy" or "Mittens." Oh no. Mark Twain gave his feline companions names that ranged from biblical to bizarre: Apollinaris, Beelzebub, Blatherskite, Buffalo Bill, Sour Mash, Famine, Pestilence, and Sin .Imagine calling "Pestilence!" across your backyard at dinner time …વધારે
A lawyer tells his eyewitness story about an ICE detention center (concentration camp) and the false propaganda being spread through MAGA lovers, not different from the lies said in WW 2 by the false propaganda spread by Hitler and his gestapo, or the one spread in the U.S. concentration camps when japanese were killed while they spread false propaganda that they were being treated well, in every way, health wise, educational wise, etc. All lies that surfaced many years later, but lies that still work in many ignorant Americans that grew up with the white racist educational institutions to say the least. As much as truth may be uncomfortable and hurtful for many Americans it's time to know the real dark history. It's time to embrace our sins and our reality and to move into the 21st century making permanent change, real changes and start behaving like civilized educated people and not like a third world uncivilized, uneducated, country.
On 24 January, Pope Leo XIV appointed Rev. Cyril Buhayan Villareal as the new Bishop of Kalibo in the Philippines. CatholicCulture.org has reported critically on his theological positions regarding sexual morality on January 26. Born in 1974, Villareal was ordained a priest in 2001 and has served as a seminary instructor (2012–16), cathedral rector (2016–18), vicar general (2016–21), diocesan administrator (2021–23) and pastor (since 2023). In his 2011 theological master's thesis submitted at the University of Vienna, Austria, Monsignor Villareal showed sympathy towards revisionist arguments that question the Church's teaching on contraception. First, Villareal acknowledges that the Church's teaching "establishes a close bond between sexuality and procreation, linking the two in matrimony". He straightforwardly affirms God’s design of sexuality: "The Church judges the morality of the sexual act based on whether it is separable or inseparable from the unitive and procreative significance …વધારે
Danny argues that President Trump has effectively decided to take the United States to war with Iran, pointing to a Truth Social post in which Trump announces a “massive armada” led by the USS Abraham Lincoln heading toward Iran and threatens far greater destruction if Iran does not agree to a deal banning nuclear weapons. The speaker stresses that this is not symbolic posturing but a serious military buildup with extensive naval and regional air power, comparable in scale to major past conflicts. They contend that this move lacks legal and constitutional justification: Congress has not declared war, there is no specific authorization, and the U.S. has not been attacked. According to the speaker, this makes the decision a unilateral presidential action that puts U.S. troops at risk without a clear national security necessity or articulated rationale. The speaker questions the end goal, arguing there is no credible diplomatic path because the terms reportedly demanded of Iran—ending …વધારે
The UK arrests 30 people a day, 12,000 a year, for online posts, especially those critical of Islam and Muslim mass migration. When a Kurdish man burned a Koran in front of the Turkish consulate and a Muslim man stabbed him, the UK police let the stabber out on bail and locked up the Koran burner on the charge of having “intent to cause against the religious institution of Islam.” Jewish and non-Jewish people have been arrested for condemning Hamasand Hezbollah. So you can understand why Shahid Butt is the candidate of the moment to “unite” the United Kingdom. An activist who was jailed for his part in an armed terror plot is seeking election. Shahid Butt says he believes he is the ‘ideal candidate’ to unite a divided community and city, push back against the far right and defeat Labour in one of its traditional strongholds. “Activist” is that what we’re calling Islamic terrorists now? In a launch video for his campaign with the two men, he tells people that he will be relying …
Two Saints from Syria cut to the Heart Saint Ephrem the Syrian, Saint Isaac the Syrian Wed Jan 28th "Then the Lord from His glorious heaven shall set up His peace. And the kingdom of the Romans shall rise in place of this latter people, and establish its dominion upon the earth, even to the ends and there will be no one who will resist it. After iniquity shall have multiplied, and all creatures have become defiled, then Divine Justice shall appear, and shall wholly destroy the people, and coming forth from perdition, the man of iniquity shall be revealed upon the earth, the Seducer of men, and disturber of the whole earth." Saint Ephrem the Syrian "Today Mary is heaven for us, because she bears God withing herself. The Most High God has abased Himself and made His dwelling in her, so that He might bring about our salvation." St. Ephrem "O Lord and Master of my life, grant that I may not be afflicted with a spirit of sloth, inquisitiveness, ambition, and vain taking." Prayer of Saint …વધારે
વધારે
In the Belgian diocese of Namur, Abbé Maurice Léonard, a former dean, has died at the age of 85. His death was announced this week by the Diocese, where he was known as an "open and socially committed" priest, particularly due to his many years of service in Andenne. He retired in 2015. In addition to the diocese's obituary, which focused on his ecclesiastical career and pastoral legacy, his family published a second obituary. This notice mentions a "companion", a certain Sylvie Rase. It also lists four "children of the heart" and "his beloved grandchildren." #newsNuzvpyacoi
