Bishop Glettler Rejoices in Training Muslim Imams at Catholic University

Bishop Hermann Glettler of Innsbruck, Austria, and Islamic theologian Abualwafa Mohammed have published a dialogue book. The title is Nicht den Hass, die Liebe wählen(meaning: Choose Love, Not Hate). The bright green cover and interior images come from Glettler’s own artwork Crossfit, located in the crypt of Berlin Cathedral. Bishop Glettler on the training of Islamic imams at Catholic institutions: "In Innsbruck, we celebrated ‘10 years of Islamic Theology at the University of Innsbruck’ with a ceremony in November 2023. The gradual expansion of the Islamic religious education program at the Catholic Theological Faculty enables the qualified training of teachers for schools. With the introduction of a master’s program in Islamic Theology, a foundation has also been created for imam and pastoral training in Austria."
