Crocodile Tears: Vatican Official Cries over Novus Ordo Decadence
Mgr. García has been in his current position since May 2021. He previously worked for Cardinal Sarah in the same dicastery.
By "in some of the faithful" he must have meant the overwhelming majority of the faithful, and by "a certain confusion" the ongoing dissolution of the liturgy, which is no longer even Protestant, but secularised and pagan.
He blames an "excess of individualism" that "prevails in today's society" for the fact that "everyone can decide what they like in the liturgy". It is an old trick of the bishops to blame "society" for their own mistakes.
"In the face of the 'I', the Pope asks us for the 'we' of the community," García insists, while Francis rules the Vatican alone and unaccountable to anyone but his private whims.
Here is another pearl of wisdom straight from García's mouth: "The liturgy cannot be created by anybody, people are not the owner of the liturgy, it does not belong to them, it belongs to the Church and to a wise, multi-secular tradition." The liturgical tradition of the Novus Ordo Church is exactly 56 years old.
Mgr. García continues to lament that in the liturgical area "there are people who, without any formation and almost without any introduction into Christian life, make decisions that are not theirs".
According to him, the solution to this problem lies "in formation", in other words, García officially confirms that the Vatican will do nothing against the desintegration of the liturgy. It's only when it comes to suppressing the Roman Rite, which doesn't suffer from the ills of the Novus Ordo, that the Vatican is aggressive and pro-active.
Mgr. García also knows why young people are bored during the Novus Ordo Eucharist: "They are bored because they don't understand anything." There is another explanation: Maybe they understand too much.
It is all too evident that this interview was given to hush up the problems and to flatter Francis.
