On June 6th for one hour, according to the website www.reflexionyliberacion.cl., pope Francis received the leaders of the Confederación Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Religiosas y Religiosos. During the informal meeting, he spoke about the Roman Curia saying “In the Curia there are holy people, really, holy people. But there is also a current of corruption.” And: “One speaks about a “gay lobby” and this is the truth, it is here, one has to see what we can do.” Amid requests for comment, the Vatican spokesman Fr Federico Lombardi told CNN that "It was a private meeting. I have no comment to make."

In the same meeting the Pope also said that he is worried about small and overaged religious communities who have no vocations. According to Francis they may have fulfilled their mission in the Church but they – quote – “remain attached to their buildings and to the money.”

Mother Dolores Hart, now 74, - the prioress of a Benedictine nuns's monastery in Bethlehem, Connecticut - will be crisscrossing the U.S. this summer to promote her memoirs entitled: "The Ear of the Heart: An Actress' Journey From Hollywood to Holy Vows." In her Hollywood days, Mother Dolores made 10 movies, two with Elvis Presley. About Presley she said to Catholic News Service: "He wanted to do something with his career. He wanted to get rich and to play meaningful roles. They never gave him that. They just kept putting him in one girlie film after the other."

At the Milwaukee Theater on Monday evening, June 17, Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki will trade in his bishop’s staff for a baton and add “music conductor” to his list of duties as he guest conducts the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The 360-member chorus and the 65 members of the Orchestra has performed at World’s Fairs and expositions, at inaugurations of U.S. presidents, in concert halls from Australia and Europe to Asia and the Middle East and on television broadcasts.
