A los veinte años ingresó al convento holandés de Agnetenberg, recibió la ordenación sacerdotal y permaneció en el mismo lugar copiando códices, componiendo tratados históricos y ascéticos e instruyendo a los nuevos religiosos hasta 1471 en que murió a la edad de noventa y dos años. Fue un hombre bueno y piadoso que acostubrara [sic] meditar en la pasión de Cristo con gran afecto y tenía especial carisma para animar a los débiles y angustiados.
