Thank you Father Ney! Our Lady did not conceive out of wed-lock because she is the paragon of the Bride of Christ, which is the Church! Her union with God is that for which all marriage is but an analogy. What does the Law have to say about that? The whole Law is only for stepping stones to arrive at the union of our souls to God. But the Blessed Virgin in her conception is already where the Law is only going, that is, in God as God is in her.

Love you Father Reto! God Bless you. Corporal works of mercy. I pray the Rosary, Chaplet , 7 sorrows daily. But not well, autoimmune, it gets me down. I pray for people but I need to feed the hungry, clothe the poor, visit the sick... How? the guilt overwhelms me. Trying to get to the Blessed Sacrament and church as often as able. What shall I pray for ? I also have a sister who is handicapped and parents older and live far away.. What is my duty? I am Married. 2 kids grown, 16 y.o still home and praying for all my children. oops, forgive me? I thought this was a blog type. Mary Mother of God, please help me to help others. Amen

Father, your message is so clarifying! Truth is not a feeling. But Christ tells us that the indwelling Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. We recognize Him in ourselves by the Truth that is in us which we have embraced. It is this Truth that saves us from the malignant errors which destroy Faith. One can feel very good about believing a lie, but a Christian can never rest intellectually in a contradiction against the Faith. Love for most people today is a feeling, but the Love that God calls us to and demands from us is a love of the Truth. This is not a feeling, but an integrity which accords to the Revelation of God. Deo gratias.

Father Reto just wondering:
I was taught that St John the Baptist was sanctified in the womb of St Elizabeth, when the Blessed Virgin Mary brought our Lord Jesus the Christ to see them in The Visitation.
I am thinking that St. John was the most Holy man that ever lived{2nd only to our Lord Jesus).
I thought he had been given a special mission in this world, Himself announced by the Archangel Gabriel.
The one crying out in the desert . I have a difficult time seeing St. John the Baptist as Mr death.
I am wondering Father, if a person is in a state of Grace, and receiving the Holy Catholic Sacraments : Don`t they have the Holy Ghost dwelling within them? Is not that life, even in this desert? I can see Mr. Death in the illusion of life being content in this world. I see him there in the false religions of this world. Sadly he runs through our very …More
