How mercifully the cutting and editing of this film has been done!! They could have - would they be mean - highlighted the moment when the Mass servant on the right loses his belt (cingulum) - buuuuut nope, one just sees that between minute 6.30 and 6.45 the belt miraculously disappears. Many, many miracles are worked during a Holy Mass, especially in the tridentine rite, but not this one. I (and yes, my coming out as the inept servant) simply hadn't made a proper knot... shame on me! And many, many thanks again to Don Reto for his heart-moving celebration and the sermon - food for thought indeed. Pity though one cannot hear it....!

Yes you are very lucky to have these priests in Sedrun. You cannot imagine how I enjoyed to attend the holy mass each morning during our vacation in Sedrun. But also the mass in the new Ritus was a joy to attend.

I didn't know that this poor priest suffers from so many imperfections. He is a walking saint. You might suggest to him that he eats more pasta and at least one cannoli per day in order to gain a little more weight and stability.

Dear Holy Canoly, the video can not be edited, not the way you recommend. The homily is precisely there speeded up to show among others the change of the light and to allow Don Reto to conduct a little bit with the music. He likes to do this, you know.

The mass was celebrated at 5 p.m. So, what you see is the sunset. The light was always on. All was planned by Divine providence, not by us.

Fr. genuflects on his left knee for static reason. He is very tall, skinny, left-handed and always in danger of collapsing. Just kidding.

Doina..How fortunate the people are there to have TWO Masses every day! My goodness, and here the pastors do Not wish to obey the Holy Father in having a Latin Mass in OUR Churches, all they seem to care about is that the $$$$ keeps coming in. But more and more people are attending the Latin Mass Here.
We do have the Latin Mass though in Three of our Churches, but not every day...Oh, how I wish we did!! I envy you!

Here in Sedrun we have every morning two traditional Latin Masses.

Father Markus (our technician) celebrates at 7 a.m.

and Father Reto Celebrates at 8.a.m.

A breathtakingly beautiful location, church and service.

I have several comments and one question. Perhaps the video could be edited (shortened) to remove the time of the sermon since the sermon can not be heard anyway. Also, there is a dramatic change in lighting at the time of the sermon through the end of the video. Before the sermon, there seems to be one spot light focused on the altar (likely the rising sun from an Eastern window or skylight). At the time of the sermon and for the remainder of the Mass, it appears that somebody turned the lights on in the Church. Was this planned?

Along with its inherent beauty and reverence, we all cherish the Traditional Latin Mass for its precision and uniformity. I would like to ask why Fr. genuflects on his left knee before the prayers at the foot of the altar? He does, however, genuflect on his right knee before and after the elevation of the sacred Body and the sacred Blood.

Just knew Fr. Reto had to know the traditional Latin Mass. He's seem a very mild and holy priest. I will pray for him.
