I will be very honest and blunt. I had misgivings about Francis the Bishop of Rome ever since his election when I found out he was a South American Jesuit. It was like the same feeling I had when Obama was elected. He just appeared too good to be true. I kept seeing the way he treated traditional Catholics than his strange interpretation of the Bible .Then the prelates he kept surrounding himself with. How he made the cover of every publication. The interviews. Now this. I can no better understand why people mostly dissidents and liberals were so jubilant at his election. They must have known that this man was going to follow the wishes of Cardinal Martini who was a fellow Jesuit with similar radical views. It has to be a Jesuit Plot. He is NOT a loyal son of the Church and his so called HUMILITY is false. It is not Benedict's fault. Some better man should have been picked like Marc Oulette, who had then most votes but he told the Cardinals to vote for the man who came in second to Benedict in 2005. Burke should have been elected and taken the name Leo IV. Even the name Pope Francis does not sound right to me.

Although I not happy at what the Pope has done since his election I agree with Donna that we all need to very careful in our constructive critiques not to descend to name calling and insults. This has happened on another well known blog site and the comment box is now off. We are all in need of changing our lives and Jesus told us not to judge others lest we be Judged. He also said that every idle word we say will be used against us. Everything we may hear may not be true or taken out of Context but ignoring Gospel warnings against love of others even if we don't agree with them is what makes us different from non believers. The Church and the Pope need our prayers not condemnations and name calling judgments. This site is for Integral Catholics but remember this group were condemned by Pius XI in the 1920's. It is bizarre about Cardinal McCormick but as far as the couples who were married they may have received Confession before they were Married. As far as Cardinal Kasper he is trying to influence the Synod on the Family just as many prelates have already have said by talking to the press about what THEY will should be done. Calling Francis the Enemy King is just plain stupid to these Protestants. They resent the Pope and how popular he is and think of him as an foe when he really gets along good with most Non Catholics. Call in him a King is dumb since the Pope is no King but the Vicar of Christ on Earth. They think he is poaching for converts like Anglicans did with Benedict and his decision to allow Anglicans to form the Ordinariate in 2009. In a sense they are right. The Pope is the King of all Christianity.

Poor Father Lombardi he has to clarify that the Pope may not have said these things to the same anti Catholic man, but guess what the first interview is back up on the Vatican Web site. My question is why? I am sorry but the Pope did actually say that he met with the Non Catholic Evangelicals not to convert them because the Church of Nice just accepts people were they are at. There is no need to convert because we are all the same right?

The comments the Pope made have been taken out of context as was his remarks in the recent Jesuit interview. The pope did make a poor choice of words but he did speak out about abortion last week and excommunicated a priest a few days ago which did not get hardly any coverage since it was announced in a Australian newspaper. The priest was speaking out in favor of same sex marriage and women priests, BTW.

Sanctity is greater than scandal. So I guess that means that there are no scandals like sex abuse of minors. This what Michael Voris calls the Church of Nice where everything is just wonderful. He is either naïve or in denial or wearing rose colored glasses. Pope John was the same way, too naïve about the real world and culture. Even the Pope Emeritus said last year living together was a serious sin. Or maybe in Francis's view there is no sin just bad choices.

I wish this effort to be a success however because I started reading most of Benedict's books right after his election and certainly most of his recent ones including Jesus of Nazareth one and two, and of course Lumen Fide which I know is mostly his work because it does not sound like Francis when you read it. I still love and miss him even after six months and probably up to when he passes away. I like and respect Francis but I do not love him.
