(Joh 6,67 68) Die eucharistische Brotrede löste einen fatalen Streit unter den Jüngern Jesu aus. Viele von ihnen konnten es nicht glauben, dass Jesus sich selbst, sein Fleisch und Blut, zur Seelennahrung geben wird. She is honored as a saint by the Catholic Church. Agnes was born in 1268 into the noble Segni family in Gracciano, a frazione of Montepulciano, then part of the Papal States. At the age of nine, she convinced her parents to allow her to enter a Franciscan monastery of women in the city known as the "Sisters of the Sack", after the rough religious habit they wore. they live a simple, contemplative life. In der Tradition des heiligen Benedikt gründete Abt Anno vor fast 1.000 Jahren die Abtei auf dem Michaelsberg. Eng verbunden mit der zu ihren Füßen wachsenden Stadt Siegburg, wurde sie zeitweise wenig spirituell als Kaserne, Zuchthaus oder Lazarett genutzt. 2011 verabschiedeten sich die Benediktiner vom Michaelsberg. Das Erzbistum Köln wünschte sich dort ein neues, wirtschaftlich zu betreibendes geistliches Zentrum. Anfang 2017 verlegte das Katholisch-Soziale Institut (KSI) aus Bad Honnef seinen Sitz in die von uns sanierte und erweiterte denkmalgeschützte Abtei und fügte ihrer Geschichte ein weiteres Kapitel hinzu. Auf etwa 400 Veranstaltungen empfängt das KSI in dem Tagungszentrum mit Hotel, Restaurant und Konferenzsälen jedes Jahr rund 21.000 Gäste.
