For the third time in three years, the mother, doctor and former Finnish minister Päivi Räsänen is on trial for "hate speech", this time, at the Finnish Supreme Court.
"Hate speech" is so called because it is hated by the regime. The investigation started in 2019 with a social media post in which Mrs Räsänen quoted from the first chapter of Romans. She did so in connection with a homosexual propaganda march sponsored by the Finnish Protestants to which she belongs.
The investigation also involved a booklet on Christian marriage written by Räsänen almost twenty years ago. The prosecution wants to criminalise Räsänen's Christian faith and has demanded a fine of tens of thousands of euros.
Mrs Räsänen has been unanimously acquitted by two courts, but the Finnish Prosecutor's Office is pressing ahead, taking the case into its fifth year. A trial date has not yet been set.

TAN Books Publisher Conor Gallagher explains why The Battle of Virtues and Vices by Pope Saint Leo IX is a spiritual masterpiece. Get the book: The Battle of the Virtues and Vices: Defending the Interior Castle of the Soul What is the greatest spiritual battle? The greatest battles do not occur in a distant land or even in past times but in the depths of the human soul. It is the battle between virtue and vice, the conflict between aspiring to be a saint or living a mediocre life. The conflict between reaching heaven or forfeiting it. In this spiritual masterpiece, Pope Saint Leo IX, identifies our foes: “The enemies in this battle—the vices and temptations which infect our fallen nature—are invisible and internal.” These invisible and internal vices have dragged many souls to hell, and they will not stop until every person has surrendered to their pernicious and vile attacks. Chartres Pilgeomsge had 16,000 last year, and will see 18,000 this year: only because they’ve capped the numbers a month before the event. After a long winter, the traditional movement is experiencing a spring, and recent showers of slushy hail aren’t going to hold it back.

The famous Roman Rite pilgrimage to Chartres from 18 to 20 May, organised by Notre Dame de Chrétienté, is attracting unprecedented interest.
The organisers have had to close registrations well in advance because they have reached capacity. Spokeswoman Odile Téqui told TribuneChretienne.com that this year's demand far exceeded initial forecasts:
"We were expecting an increase of 12% in the number of pilgrims over the three days, which was already a big effort given that our average growth, excluding the Covid period, has been 8% per year over the last ten years." But, she adds, these expectations have been exceeded.
Last year's pilgrimage was also heavily overbooked, but registration closed a week before the event instead of a month before.
Due to the massive influx of pilgrims, especially on Monday when attendance peaks, exact numbers will not be known until after the pilgrimage.
This growth is due in no small part to Bergoglio's ongoing battle against the Roman liturgy.

Rev. Robert L. Neville
A young priest outlines his reasons for the SSPX Superior General.
Your Excellency:
Since the departure of several priests to the Society of St. John, I have been thinking more seriously about certain things which were never really clear in my mind. Lately I have been thinking about authority and infallibility, as well as their respective relation to the Society of St. Pius X and to the Church. I have come to the conclusion that the Society has many inherent errors and contradictions and I will attempt to enumerate them.
I believe that I am correct in saying that the Society maintains that John Paul II and the hierarchy in communion with him have authority and jurisdiction. If this is the case, then one must logically conclude that their ordinary universal magisterium and disciplinary reforms are infallible. One is also forced to conclude that this authority must be recognized as such, not only theoretically, but also in practice.
Either we can save our souls …More

We can decrease sugar consumption, stop wasting time, for example. The efforts we make to eliminate the small mistakes help us practice to deal with the bigger sins, later on. Also, they will have less influence, because they will not be supported by the smallest sins. We must never underestimate the smallest sins! They are vigorous!
Often it’s just a bad habit. Let’s replace it with a healthier one. We can also play tricks on ourselves. As we go, let’s change our habit and move on. If it’s the sugar-filled drink, for example, let’s cut the pace and the amount with another healthier drink that will eventually replace it. These are ideas. You can find ideas that suit you better.

A priest at a Michigan parish has resigned his post following a controversy over an “openly gay” author’s appearance at the parish parochial school’s pre-kindergarten class.
Father Thomas Held has resigned from the pastorship at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Beal City “effective immediately,” Diocese of Saginaw Bishop Robert Gruss said in a statement on Tuesday.
The parish and Held himself have been at the center of controversy since last month after area author Dominic Thrasher made an appearance at the parish’s school to read one of his children’s books, which are based on his family’s dogs.
Thrasher has identified himself as “openly gay.” About a week after he visited the school, the church’s Facebook page was updated with a message from Held in which he wrote that “a guest who does not represent the values of our Catholic faith read to our pre-k children” as part of a schoolwide reading program.

"Just Stupid": U.S Bishop Justifies Abortion-Joe

Bishop Robert Gruss of Saginaw, Michigan, referred to US President Joe Biden in a speech after a Eucharist on 5 April.
"I'm not angry with the president. I feel sorry for him. I'm not angry with him, he's just stupid," Mgr Gruss claimed. He made the astonishing statement that abortion propagandist Biden "doesn't understand the Catholic faith," even though he regularly attends Eucharist. Yet, according to Mgr Gruss, Biden demonstrates ignorance "in the sense of not knowing".
Gruss' speech was posted on the diocese's YouTube account. The quote was published by the anti-Catholic NCRonline.org (18 April), which was obviously acting as a snitch for the regime.
With his clumsy words, Bishop Gruss half-heartedly attempted to call a miscreant soul to account, a hopeless endeavour given Biden's mental state.
